I'm Not Judging Just Exposing

Eagles & Turkeys (Which One Are You?)

The Christian walk in not easy as a matter of fact it gets hard. We go through ridicule, loneliness, persecution, and sometimes just misunderstood. So, for a defense mechanism often times we compromise and try to blend with the masses(Matthew 7:13-14) Problem with blending is as soon as you blend into one thing you have to blend into someone or something else. Understand this, when you change your life everyone can't go with you. Bottom line everyone don't want to change or believe.(2nd Thessalonians 3:2) Your focus should be to please God not people.(Galatians 1:10& 1st Thessalonians 2:4)

What do Eagles and Turkeys have in common? Well you have the obvious feathers, beaks, talons, wings and they're both birds. After that their is no comparison. The same for believers and unbelievers they look the same but are different (2nd Corinthians 6:14)

Eagles represent strength and pride. When we're tired and weak God renews us (Psalm 103:5) and gives us strength allowing us to fly high on wings like eagles (Isaiah 40:29-31) Eagles are protected by the government. We as Christians are protected by the Lord (1st Chronicles 16:21-22 & 2nd Thessalonians 3:3) Eagles are only around other eagles(think about it) Eagles have to deal with storms but they fly above the weather to clearer skies. We must also not let situations, storms, circumstances stop us from moving on (1st Thessalonians 5:16-19 & Philippians 4:11)

Turkeys put you in the mind set of food. Turkeys don't hurt anyone every now and then they may peck or attack to protect themselves. They're to heavy to fly away. They live amongst the other animals eating and sleeping just blending.(BREATHING TO DEATH!!!) They trust the hand that feeds them never knowing their primary purpose for living is to be killed. The turkey doesn't see a reason to change or escape (product of their environment.) This represent most unbelievers and some believers they never hurt anyone and live a pretty decent life(Matthew 7:21-23)

Then there is the wild turkey. Wild turkeys can fly, not for long distances and not to high. They are free to go wherever they like (Romans 1:29-32) They seem free but the elements are always against them predators and hunters to name a few. Hunters use turkey callers to draw the turkey near so it's an easy target. The devil uses this same trick to make you feel like everyone else is doing it. Or I can worship God in my own little way. Before you know it it's to late and your caught up. Even satan can appear as a angel of light (2nd Corinthians 11:14)

Ask yourself are you an Eagle or a Turkey. It sounds funny to compare the two but really think about it. Better yet does your lifestyle show you are a Christian or are you quiet about your Faith in front of people just blending.

A Call To Salvation (The Sinner's Prayer)

Heavenly Father,
I come to you in prayer asking for the forgiveness of my Sins. I confess with my mouth and believe with my heart that Jesus is your Son. And that he died on the Cross at Calvary that I might be forgiven and have Eternal Life in the Kingdom of Heaven. Father, I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and I ask you right now to come in to my life and be my personal Lord and Savior. I repent of my Sins and will Worship you all the day's of my Life! Because your word is truth, I confess with my mouth that I am Born Again and Cleansed by the Blood of Jesus! In Jesus Name, Amen.
(Romans 10:9-10)
